The Platinum award winning Northampton Concert Band will be performing an evening of movie music magic in support of Autism Concern on Saturday, June 22nd in ‘Family Film Favourites’.

The 40-strong group of woodwind and brass musicians will perform selections from Star Wars, Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, The Lion King, Harry Potter and many more.

In selecting the music for this concert Stephen Bell, Musical Director, said: “What better way to have a family night out than to enjoy music from some great family films, and at the same time supporting a charity that does so much to help support to families with autistic children and inform and educate others about autism.”

Julia Hardcastle, Managing Director, from Autism Concern, said “We’re proud to be working with Northampton Concert Band on what will be such an enjoyable evening for all. Funds raised will help us to continue to support over 2,000 children and adults in Northamptonshire that have autism. If you include their families, autism touches the lives of around 6,000 people every day”.

The concert will be at the Spratton Hall School, Spratton, Northampton NN6 8HP on June 22nd, 2013. The event begins at 7.00pm and tickets are £10 Adults, £6 Child, £28 Family.
